For Adults - Crescendo
Crescendo is Ballarat’s very own All-Abilities Choir! Our flexibility is what sets us apart from other choirs which may not be able to actively adapt to meet the needs and utilise the capibilities of each individual member. Whatever your abilities are, we celebrate them at Crescendo, and find a role for you to shine!
This choir has resonated with the neurodivergent community, and people living with mental health conditions. Crescendo is a special space where you can be your authentic self - no masking required - and build connections with others.
We warmly welcome carers, loved ones, and anyone passionate about the disability community.
Crescendo runs every Thursday afternoon at St Peter’s Hall.
We meet for a cuppa and a chat at 3pm, and start singing at 3:30pm. We continue to meet every Thursday throughout school holiday periods.
You can join us at any time of the year, and pay only for the sessions you attend - no upfront term fees.
You can use your NDIS plan to pay for Crescendo Choir, but you do NOT need one to join!

For Children - Melody Makers
It’s important for children with all kinds of disability to have safe spaces to be accepted and shine! This includes children with ADHD, ASD, and mental health conditions. Melody Makers incorporates a variety of rhythm and movement activities into a fun music program. Melody Makers runs every Saturday afternoon at St Peter’s Hall in Ballarat Central, at 2pm.
Fees can be paid with an NDIS plan if a child has one, but they do NOT need to have a plan to participate. Children are welcome to bring a support person to assist their participation, at no charge.

The All Abilities Choir project aims to create a space where everyone can enjoy singing together. Traditional choirs often present various barriers to those who think or communicate differently, or have different physical needs and abilities. Our choirs adapt to the specific needs and strengths of our participants and celebrate all voices and modes of participation! For those with NDIS funding, your fees can be charged to your NDIS plan under “group and centre based activities”.
